LAIS PTSA volunteers are ALWAYS needed!
Everyone has a skill to share and there is simply NO volunteer role TOO SMALL or TOO BIG! We want you to be an active part of our school, and we are just so thrilled that you want to help out at Los Alisos in a way that best suits you, your time schedule, and your family. Whether you like to work with kids; making copies for PTSA; helping out at PTSA events; doing data entry from home; or doing Spanish translation...we for sure have a need that fits your time, abilities, and interests! Remember, helping out Los Alisos students in some capacity with the PTSA doesn't only support school wide goals and initiatives, but your participation in ongoing activities allows you a chance to feel more connected to your child and the school. Involvement in the PTSA gives you, as the parent, an opportunity to learn more about the school, staff, events, and community. You'd be amazed at how many new friends our parents make being involved at the school! It is so wonderful to see how proud kids get of their parents when they see your participation, connection, and interest in the school.
Please click on the following link to see current PTSA/school opportunities for students as well as parents. The 8th-grade promotion party will be here before we know it and we need to get together as a committee to plan the special event. The first meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 5th at 7 pm at Corner Bakery on El Toro and Rockfield. Please sign up on the link below to be a part of the committee. If you cannot make that meeting but still want to be a part of the committee, please also sign up at the link.
The nominating committee chaired by student Maxwell Ferranto is looking interested persons for the offices of President, Executive Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Historian. Both parent and students can serve given that it is a PTSA. Training is provided as there is excellent support for PTSA by our council housed at the district. Continued dedication to volunteer service is a gift that I have treasured and I encourage future parent and student leaders to volunteer to hold office. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know you would like to be considered for a listed position. We look forward to building our 2019-2020 Los Alisos PTSA!
